Dr. Melinda M. Manore is a Professor of Nutrition in the area of Nutrition and Exercise Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU). Her area of expertise is the integration of nutrition and physical activity for weight management and the prevention of chronic disease. She is the author of over 100 scientific publications, book chapters, and review articles and has authored four nutrition text books and two books as part of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) Committee on Military Nutrition Research. She is active in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) and the ACSM, where she has served on the Board of Trustees and as Vice President. She is on a number of nutrition and exercise editorial boards including two for ACSM and a former member of JAND. She is currently a member of the American Society of Nutrition and The Obesity Society.
